Approximate. Restaurant versions vary a great deal with the amount of oil, butter and cream, and a "plate" can be small or very large.
Three things move the number the most: oil, butter or cream, portion size, and what is added on the side. A teaspoon of oil or ghee is roughly 45 kcal, so a curry made with a few tablespoons of oil and a swirl of cream is a different dish from the same recipe made with a little oil. This is why paneer butter masala and dal makhani usually come out higher than a home-style dal tadka.
Tip: the biggest lever on a curry's calories is usually the oil and cream, not the vegetable. If you are cooking at home, measure the oil with a teaspoon once and see how it compares with what you usually pour.
These are approximate numbers for typical portions, not exact ones, and they are not advice about what you should eat. If you have a health condition or a specific calorie target from a doctor or dietitian, follow that instead of a general table.
About 150 kcal for a katori (around 150 g) of home-style dal tadka. Dal makhani at a restaurant is usually higher, around 250 kcal, because of butter and cream.
About 330 kcal for a restaurant-style katori of around 150 g. Home versions with less butter and cream are lower.
Roughly 450 kcal for a plate of veg biryani (about 300 g) and about 550 kcal for chicken biryani (about 350 g). Plate sizes vary widely.
About 260 kcal for a medium fried samosa, depending on size and the filling.
