At NutritionSimplify.com, accessible from https://nutritionsimplify.com, the privacy of our visitors is of extreme importance to us. This Privacy Policy document outlines the types of personal information that is received and collected by NutritionSimplify.com and how it is utilized.
1. Calculator and sample meal ideas
Your age, gender, height and weight are used in your own browser to work out an approximate BMI and calorie number. They are not sent to our servers. When you ask for a sample meal idea, your daily calorie and protein numbers, your goal and your food style (not your name or email) are sent to an AI service provider so it can write the idea. If you choose to email yourself a plan, we use your email address only to send it.
If you are not signed in, your food log stays in your own browser and is cleared when you clear your browser data. If you sign in, the profile details and meals you choose to save are stored so you can see them on your other devices.
2. Signing in, Nutrisnap and Nutritalks
Google sign-in. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture. We use them to create your account, show your first name and picture on Nutritalks, send you a welcome email and save your meals. We never see your Google password.
Nutrisnap. When you use Nutrisnap, your photo is sent to an AI service provider to work out what the food is. We do not keep the photo. We save the dish name and the AI-written information about that dish (its names, a fun fact and a recipe) so it can be reused. That saved information does not include your photo or your name.
Nutritalks. Photos and messages you post in the public room of Nutritalks can be seen by anyone who visits Nutritalks, together with your first name and picture. In a private table, only the people who have the table's invite link and have joined can see them (up to 15 people); anyone with the link can join, so share it only with people you trust. Photos you post there are checked by an AI service provider. Posts and their photos are deleted automatically after about 24 hours. You can delete your own posts at any time, and anyone can report a post.
Usage limits. To control cost, we keep a short record of how many photos each signed-in person sends per day.
Deleting your data. To delete your account and your posts, email contact@nutritionsimplify.com.
Results from the AI are for entertainment only and can be wrong.
3. Google AdSense & Advertising Cookies
Google, as a third-party vendor, utilizes cookies to serve advertisements on NutritionSimplify.com. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its advertising partners to serve ads to our users based on their prior visits to NutritionSimplify.com and/or other sites across the Internet.
These cookies track anonymous behavioral data to deliver personalized advertising (specifically utilizing the DoubleClick DART cookie mechanism).
Users may opt out of the use of the DoubleClick DART cookie and personalized advertising by visiting the Google Ads Settings page. Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info/choices.
4. Standard Log Files
Like almost all standard web servers, NutritionSimplify.com utilizes basic server log files to monitor network security and keep the website online. The information contained inside these log files includes Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamps, referring/exit pages, and the total number of clicks.
This data is used strictly in the aggregate to analyze technical trends, administer the site, track server load, and gather broad demographic information. None of this data is linked to anything that is personally identifiable.
We also count visits ourselves, without cookies. Each visit is saved with the page, where the visitor came from (for example Google or WhatsApp), phone or computer, and an anonymous code that changes every day. We do not store names or IP addresses with these counts.
5. Google Analytics (Visitor Statistics)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, how many people visit NutritionSimplify.com, which pages they read, and how they found us (for example through Google search). Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and receives basic technical information such as your approximate location, device and browser type.
The details you enter into our calculator (such as age, height, weight, dietary goals and food logs) are not sent to Google Analytics. You can opt out of Google Analytics at any time by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.
6. Third-Party Privacy Policies
NutritionSimplify.com's Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party advertisers or external websites linked in our ad slots. We advise you to consult the respective Privacy Policies of these third-party ad servers for more detailed information on their practices, as well as instructions on how to opt out of specific tracking. You can choose to disable browser cookies through your individual browser configuration settings.
7. Consent
By using our website, you hereby consent to our Privacy Policy and agree to its established Terms.
